YOUTH GROUP

The Bridge offers several different youth group options.  Most youth group events are held at The Bridge office - 401 Walnut ST in Washington - and include a Bible study, games, snacks, and activities designed to help the kids get to know one another.

Junior High:  For kids in 6th-8th grade.  Meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month from 6:30-8:00 PM.

High School:  Meets once a month.  Date and time varies depending the availability of the kids (you know - jobs, band, sports, etc.).

Mid-Month Hangout:  Open to all youth (6th-12th grade) and meets on a mid-month Wednesday, from 6:30-8:00 PM.

Throughout the year we'll host other fun events - movie nights, field trips, service projects, etc.  Details for all of our youth group events are shared via our text list and the Bridge Youth Facebook page (click here).  You can find a list of all currently scheduled events (and verify dates, times, locations, etc.) under "Upcoming Events" on the main page of our website.

Kids do not need to attend The Bridge on Sunday mornings to attend youth group - it is open to everyone and our youth are encouraged to invite and bring friends!

INTERGENERATIONAL

Youth are the future of the church and research shows they develop lifelong faith best in churches where they have meaningful relationships with people of all ages. At the Bridge, we are committed to helping youth form those relationships. From stuffing Easter eggs with senior adults, doing service projects with young adults, and working with kids at VBS, we are intentional about bringing different generations together.

These intergenerational events will be posted under "Upcoming Events" on the main page of our website as they become available.

WANT TO HELP?

There are opportunities to make a difference in the lives of our youth every week. All leaders are background-checked, trained, and our teams are committed to providing the best possible experience to help children grow spiritually and personally.

We're always appreciative of individuals, families, and small groups who are willing to provide snacks/drinks or host unique activities (cookouts, outdoor movie nights, pool parties, etc.).

To see how you can help out or to ask any questions please send an e-mail to our Youth Ministries Coordinator at megan@thebridgeumc.org
