FUTURE HOME
OF THE BRIDGE!
It was recently announced that The Bridge would be moving to a new and permanent location on Cummings Lane in Washington - previously occupied by Mosquito Joe.
Over the next few months the building and grounds will be updated to better suit our needs and we hope to begin using this new space by November of 2026. Until then, we will continue to meet at Central Primary School in Washington at 10am on Sunday mornings. You can view the original announcement here.

ASK: MEMBER PRESENTATIONS
ASK is starting a new study: member led presentations. Young Adults are invited to join us Sundays at 9:00 am in Room 412 for casual discussions about journeys of faith, favorite Christian songs, and other topics that group members feel called to talk about.
ASK is The Bridge’s group for young adults in their 20s and 30s. Married or single, a lifelong church goer or just finding your voice, all are welcome to join us!

HOUSEWARMING SHOWER
Following our worship service on Sunday July 12th (at 11:30) The Bridge is hosting a housewarming and recovery shower for Tabitha Keysear and her daughters. The family experienced a devastating house fire on May 1st.
Please use these Target or Amazon wishlists to purchase items the family foresees needing in their new home. Have those items sent to your home. Please DO NOT send items to The Bridge Office as it is difficult to receive items at our shared office location.

WEEKDAY BIBLE STUDY
Join us for our new drop-in Bible study on the Book of Ruth. This study meets weekly on Tuesday mornings from 10:30 until approximately 11:30 at The Bridge office - 401 Walnut Street in Washington. No pressure, no obligation, just pop by on the mornings you can to hear about the Ruth's courageous faith!

BOB: WARM HEART WEDNESDAY
BOB, Bridge Out of the Building, will once again be at WHIP, Washington Helps Its People (so many acronyms!) to pass out coffee and treats to guests who are waiting to shop. BOB will be there on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM and we've dubbed it "Warm Heart Wednesday."
If you'd like to join us in passing out treats and chatting with guests we'd love to have you. This event has been a big success, very rewarding, and seemed to be very much appreciated. No need to register, just show up at WHIP - 1235 Peoria ST in Washington.

RIVER CITY PRIDE TABLE
The Bridge UMC is excited to partner with Willow Hill UMC to share God's love and acceptance at River City Pride Fest on Saturday July 18. We will have a joint table at the festival 10am-5pm, with at least one person from each congregation in attendance each hour.
Volunteers will hand out Bridge/Pride swag and provide information about our church, if asked. We're asking for one Bridge volunteer per hour, but volunteers are welcome to stay for longer and to bring friends! Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your shift.

HELP PACK BLESSING BAGS FOR LULA
We hope you'll come to church a little early the morning of Sunday July 26th. At 9:00 AM we'll be packing blessing bags for LULA, an organization serving the unhoused in Peoria.
We will be packing 100 care bags and 100 snack bags assembly line style. The bags will be delivered to LULA who will then provide them to their friends (that's what they call the people they serve, and they mean it, isn't that great?) during their street outreach.
This is an easy and meaningful way to serve our community, we hope you will join us!

BOB: INCUBATOR MEETING
Interested in learning more about BOB? BOB - The Bridge Out of the Building - is an exciting new ministry that's meant to find ways of going out in our community to build relationships and serve.
We're in the very early stages of developing what BOB will be, and will do, and would love to hear your ideas! Each month we'll be holding "incubation" meetings where new ideas will be proposed and considered. If you have ideas on how The Bridge can go out into our community, or if you'd like to be a part of BOB, we would love for you to join us! We meet at 7:00 PM on the first Wednesday of each month at the church office - 401 Walnut ST in Washington.

END OF SUMMER POOL PARTY
It seems like it's too soon to be planning "end of summer" or "back to school" activities but here we are! Bridge Youth is inviting all 6th-12th graders to join us for a pool party at the Hughes residence in Eureka from 1:00-4:00 PM on Saturday August 8th.

MISSIONS TEAM MEETING
At The Bridge we actively seek opportunities to support our communities - especially those marginalized and overlooked by society. We feel strongly that it's not only important to give but to do.
If you feel the same and have a desire to be involved we invite you to join us for one of our monthly missions team meetings. We meet from 6:30-7:30(ish) at The Bridge office - 401 Walnut ST in Washington.
